The free from list

For Pantene fans who want alternatives that are free from specific ingredients, we created formulas that are made without sulphates, parabens, or silicones—yet still deliver great hair.

If you prefer sulphate-free options for your hair, we believe that this shouldn’t impact the number of great hair days that you get. This is why we have created a brand-new sulphate-free shampoo formula without compromise.

After testing our new sulfate-free blend, we found that those who were unsatisfied with current sulphate-free formulas loved our new sulfate-free shampoo as it cleans effectively and provide a delightful in-shower experience.

Our Pantene researchers grounded their work in the “less is more” mantra: making enough room in the already saturated sulfate-free formulas to fit the good stuff.

Pantene doesn’t think anyone should have to choose between the great hair they love and the ingredients they don’t. Parabens are a family of preservatives long used to extend the life of hair, skin, and makeup formulas, ensuring that products not only continue to do their job for long time, but also remain safe to use, without changing color or consistency or, worse, harbouring the growth of dangerous microbes.

Derived from silica, one of the most common elements in the earth’s crust, silicone has been taming hair for nearly 50 years. The silicone molecules that Pantene uses today have come a long way: Incredibly small and lighter than before, these multitaskers moisturize and smooth hair, and helps protect it from the damage of heat styling, to leave it silkier, more lustrous, and more manageable.
