Stressed Strands

Stress causes hair to fall out.

Verdict: True

Stressful situations can definitely have a negative effect on your well-being (ie, you could lose sleep, or find that your weight starts fluctuating) – but you can rest assured that your hair will remain intact. By having a day strees assured that you will not fall , but psychological and stress changes can cause hair loss. Naturally, we lose between fifty and one hundred hairs a day. But short-term worry won’t cause the numbers to multiply. Physiological changes, like an extreme diet or hormones, may cause strands to shed; but you should always check in with your doctor if you’re concerned.
